Who We Are?

Discover our inspirations and why we decided to create this competition

Noppavee Wipoosiri

As a grade 11 student at ISB who has participated in multiple innovation competitions over the past few years, I've realized that the aim of all these competitions is just the presentation of the final product. However, as someone who has innovated products to enter these competitions, I am confident that the process and learning are significantly more important than the result. With this thought in mind, I decided to create this innovation competition to help emphasize the development process thoroughly. Specifically, I designed this competition to consist of 3 rounds, where teams must pitch their idea to judges and receive feedback during every round. By doing so, I can ensure that all teams pay more attention to their development process instead of just focusing on the final result, which will ultimately shape them into more organized and thoughtful innovators.

As an international student from ISB who is currently in grade 11, I was able to participate and compete at various competitions where I presented a business pitch to judges. After expanding my knowledge on entrepreneurship and experience with these competitions, I learned that while it was useful and informative in gaining business experience, I realized that it was limited in the sense that you only got to pitch ideas and not actual businesses, products, etc. Additionally, when I began my journey in creating my own prototype, an Ozone Pesticide Removal product, I gained firsthand insight into product development. These past experiences ultimately triggered me to create this innovation competition that would suit the main purpose, where participants would be able to actually build working prototypes and create real-world solutions to urgent environmental problems.
